Le Grand Barouf Numérique

Participatory and prospective event on the digital society

Le Grand Barouf Numérique is a participatory and prospective event that opens the debate on the issues of our digital lives - online privacy, energy consumption, fake news, etc.

On this occasion, we were invited by the event organiser Ouishare to collaborate on the exhibition programme. We presented the works ‘Threads’ by Fabien Zocco and the Cached Collective’s experience, which helped to open up a conversation with the audience on these topics.

Collaboration

Threads is a network installation; a "bot" (automatic program hosted on networks) sends mysterious and cryptic emails to thousands of people whose email addresses have been randomly retrieved from the Internet.
