obsolete.studio is an educational and cultural organisation that develops spaces for learning, collaboration and creation at the intersection of the arts and sciences.

In the age of technological revolutions, our world is changing in complex and unpredictable ways. We are proposing to take a fresh look at the issues facing our society by activating the dialogue between art, science and education in order to imagine alternatives for a sustainable future and an inclusive society. To make this approach a reality, we run educational initiatives and support interdisciplinary artistic research projects.

Our mission is focused on three areas:

  • To stimulate agility, critical thinking and knowledge-sharing through training programmes, residencies and mediation.
  • To promote art-science research and creation through the production of original works and accompaniment for tailor-made projects.
  • To encourage collaborative practices by sharing tools and documenting creation methodologies.

We work collectively, co-designing our projects with artists, designers, researchers and other cultural, scientific and educational professionals. We support local creation, but seek to enhance its impact on an international scale by facilitating the mobility of artists and sharing  knowledge open source.
