In July 2023, we were invited back by Circuito – Braga Media Arts Educational Programme – to conduct our artistic research workshop about the language of plants. 

Participants had the opportunity to record the electrical signals emitted by plants in order to create sound compositions generated in real time. Using electrodes and an electronic device similar to a polygraph, they were able to amplify the plant signals to create music.

As part of our collaboration with Circuito, we designed the activity for a group of teenagers. Yet, the form of the workshop is evolutionary and multidisciplinary, inviting anyone with a curiosity about plants to explore the science behind them and develop empathy with the non-human.
